Beverage Sector
With the beverage industry there is a great deal of nutrient rich waste water which can be put to great effect in an anaerobic digestor. Utilising specifically suited microorganisms waste water from the alcohol industry can yield a high energy output. The beverage sector, much like the dairy farming sector, provides a consistent, uncontained waste. This means that specific microorganisms can be used to their best effect and that no costly sorting of the waste must take place. Because of this the beverage industry is well suited to on-site anaerobic digestion which not only benefits from the specificity of the waste but allows the business to directly benefit from the heat and energy generation from the digestor.
